ANC 3F RESOLUTION SUPPORTING PETITION FOR PERMANENT
 CURBS AND GUTTERS AND
 RESURFACING THE ROADWAY IN THE
 4500 BLOCK OF 31^st STREET, N.W.

WHEREAS: the 4500 block of 31^st Street, N.W. is located within ANC3F; and

WHEREAS: four out of five owners of property abutting 31^st Street, N.W. between Appleton Street and Brandywine Street signed a petition requesting permanent curbs and gutters and resurfacing the roadway; and

WHEREAS: the fifth property owner expressed no comment on the matter due to ethical restrictions; and

WHEREAS: permanent curbs and gutters will improve the safety of persons entering and exiting vehicles, better control storm water and enhance the neighborhood.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: ANC 3F supports the petition for the permanent curbs and gutters and resurfacing the roadway in the 4500 block of 31^st Street, N.W. and requests that they be installed at the earliest possible date; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT: ANC 3F urges DDOT to consult with the Urban Forestry Administration to take special care to protect all the street trees along 31^st Street, N.W., in installing the curbs and gutters and undertaking roadway improvements.

Adopted September 19, 2005, at a duly noticed public meeting with a quorum (a quorum being four) present by a vote of 5-0-0.
