ANC 3F RESOLUTION OPPOSING PETITION FOR THE INSTALLATION
 OF SIDEWALKS IN FOREST HILLS

WHEREAS: Fifty households in Forest Hills have signed a petition requesting that the DC Department of Transportation (DDOT):
    “ . . . install sidewalks on at least one side of each street in the Forest Hills neighborhood bordered by Connecticut Avenue on the west, Soapstone Creek on the south, Rock Creek Park on the east and Nevada and Nebraska Avenues on the north, as soon as possible.”; and

WHEREAS: there are approximately 600 households in Forest Hills; and

WHEREAS: the Forest Hills neighborhood as defined in the petition is located within ANC 3F; and
    
WHEREAS: it has been the practice of ANC 3F to consider petitions for sidewalks signed by the abutting property owners.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: ANC 3F opposes the petition for installation of sidewalks in Forest Hills, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT: ANC 3F will only consider petitions for sidewalks signed by owners of the abutting property.

Adopted May 16, 2005, at a duly noticed public meeting with a quorum (a quorum being four) present by a vote of 5-2-0.
