ANC 3F RESOLUTION OPPOSING THE CHANGE IN ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGE
REGULATION ADMINISTRATION LICENCE 60343, APPLICATION 50129 FOR
THE GUEST SERVICES COMPANY T/A HILLWOOD MUSEUM, REALTORS CLASS ‘D’
RESTAURANT, CHANGE TO CLASS ‘DX’ MULTIPURPOSE FACILITY.

WHEREAS: Hillwood Museum and Gardens, 4155 Linnean Ave., N.W. is located
within ANC3F; and
WHEREAS: Hillwood Museum and Gardens has applied to change their alcoholic
beverage license from a class ”D” (restaurant) to a class “DX” multipurpose
facility; and
WHEREAS: Hillwood Museum and Gardens has also applied to have the
aforementioned license changed to include the entire premises; and
WHEREAS: The Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration description
for a Class “DX” license reads; A Class D Multipurpose ("DX") license will
be issued only for a legitimate theater, the Washington Convention Center,
a passenger carrying marine vessel serving food or a club car or dining cars
on a railroad. And
WHEREAS: There are no class “DX” licenses in ANC 3F as authorized
by Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT: ANC 3f opposes the change in Alcoholic
Beverage Regulation Administration application no. 50129, license no. 60343
from a class “D” restaurant, to a class “DX” multipurpose facility for Hillwood
Museum and Gardens, 4155 Linnean Terrace N.W. as it does not fit the description
of a class “DX” multipurpose facility; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT: ANC 3F does not have any other class
“DX” licenses authorized by the Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration,
and does not wish to expand the types of establishments within ANC 3F, in
order to keep the character of the neighborhoods.

Adopted May 16, 2005, at a duly noticed public meeting with a quorum (a quorum
being four) present by a vote of 7-0-0.
