ANC 3F RESOLUTION
APPLICATION BY FEDERAL TELEPHONE CO., INC.
PAYPHONE ON PUBLIC SPACE AT 4215-A CONNECTICUT AVENUE, N.W.

Whereas, Federal
Telephone Co., Inc., 8903 Transuf Drive, Bethesda, Maryland, has filed an
application for a public space permit to permit an existing outdoor pay telephone
on public space at Embassy Cleaners, 4215-A Connecticut Avenue, N.W., within
the boundary of ANC 3F, and
Whereas, ANC 3F
received notice of this application by letter dated November 28, 2003, from
the Public Space Office, and
Whereas, ANC 3F
contacted Embassy Cleaners and they have no objection to the pay phone on
public space outside of their establishment provided that the pay phone remain
as a one-way, pay phone for outgoing calls only; and
Whereas, ANC3F has
discussed the public space application with N. C. Kantartzis, the President
of Federal Telephone Co., Inc., who agreed to the conditions below; and
Whereas, ANC 3F
took the issues of convenience and public safety into consideration in its
deliberation on this request;
Therefore, ANC 3F
does not object to the application by Federal Telephone Co., Inc., for a
pay phone on public space at 4215-A Connecticut Avenue, N.W., provided that:
1. This pay phone
continues to remain as a one-way phone for outgoing telephone calls
.
2. That there be
no advertising or endorsements placed on the telephone or the telephone casement
other than a placard with the name of the telephone operator and that the
telephone company operator endeavor to keep the phone clean and free of advertisements
and/or endorsements.

Adopted on December 15, 2003, by a vote of
6-0-0 at a duly noticed public meeting with a quorum present (a quorum being
four commissioners).
