CONTACT: srhjhm@aol.com
Available December 1, 2008
One year lease minimum

Exceptionally nice furnished or unfurnished bedroom in quiet home. Lovely
neighborhood - North Cleveland Park/Tenleytown. Friendly household. Use of
full house – kitchen, dining room, living room, sunroom, screened in porch,
patio with grill.
- rent includes utilities (gas, electric, water, wireless, cable TV)
- washer/dryer access
- large new bathroom (bath shared by total of two females)
- central air conditioning
- close to red line metro (6 blks, 10 min walk to VanNess/UDC & Tenleytown
metros)
- safe neighborhood, easy street parking
- close to shopping/entertainment
- outdoor secure storage for bike
- one month security deposit
- lesbian/gay friendly
- sorry, no smoking, no pets

The room has hardwood floors, two large windows, a ceiling fan, is 12x14
feet, has a double bed, dresser, night stand or two, and good closet. Or can be
unfurnished.
The house is in a very good neighborhood and there is plenty of space in the
house for studying or relaxing. This is a quiet house - a plus for some
people and a minus for others who want/need their room to also be a source of
social connection. Current residents include the owner of the home who is late 50
’s professional woman and a professional woman in mid-30’s – both with busy
schedules.

Neighbor's drumming

I have a touchy problem: my neighbors have a teen-age son who plays drums and cymbals, and unfortunately the house walls in this neighborhood are not soundproof. As a result, there are many times when I cannot enjoy my living room or use my home office because of the noise. Although I have talked with these neighbors, who are nice people, the beat goes on (even my neighbors on the other side can hear it from parts of their house), and I have run out of ideas. Would anyone have a suggestion about how I might deal with this problem?
Many thanks.
