A neighbor in the 45th - 46th Street area found an apparently lost dog
on Saturday night. He is trying to find the owner and asked us to help
by putting a note on this newletter.

The dog is very cute but very homeless. He is black, about 14 lbs. and
has a quiet sweet personality.
We think that he is a King Charles breed. He had no collar, and no chip
according to Friendship Animal hospital.

He was found near the corner of 46th Street and Yuma.

Please contact Wiliam Buckingham at 202-441-0505.

I have had excellent experience with installation of my airconditioning
system and superb, clean, quickly/appropriately responsive service on both my
airconditioning and heating systems for years from the Howard Heating and Cooling
company which is listed top for quality in Checkbook. They are fine,
trustworthy, professional.

Phone number is: (301) 277-3818. Feel free to use my name.

Lights - Nebraska and Chesapeake

A number of months ago new traffic signals were installed at the intersection of Nebraska and Chesapeake Streets where hundreds of students from Deal and Wilson cross each month.  Since the day of installation the walk signals have never properly functioned.  I have written the Ward 3 service coordinator with no success.  These lights were specifically installed (after many years of controversy) intentionally to make crossing safer for students.  I hope that by writing this note some notice by the responsible office in the DC government can make the contractor complete the job satisfactorily.
