Does anyone have a recommendation for a roofer? We're thinking about
replacing the tin roof on our semi-detached home and would love to get a
referral if you've had a good experience with someone. Thanks.

We just had our garage roof replaced and received a number of quotes
from different sources. Home Depot provided the lowest price and by
far the best value. They were extremely professional to deal with,
and did a great job. I highly recommend them and am happy to answer
any specific questions about the process.

There are just three weeks until the Camp Brown dinner to raise money to send inner city children to camp. For those of you who have sponsored a child, I thank you. You will receive a letter from the Joseph K. Smith Memorial Summer Camp Fund for your taxes. For those of you who want to sponsor a children for camp this summer, there is still time to send your $125 check to me: Samantha Nolan, 2940 Northampton Street, NW Washington, DC 20015, before camp begins and registration is closed. Please make out your check to Joseph K. Smith Memorial Summer Camp Fund. Include your full address so your receipt can be mailed to you.

If you would like to join us for the dinner at the Navy Yard on June 13, at 6:30, please send a check for $40 per person to me at the address above with Joesph K. Smith on the check. Thank you for your support. The children are in camp with MPD Officers, swimming, fishing, boating, and hiking. This is one way we can help prevent juvenile crimes. Samantha Nolan

Not only are John and his company Alco all those wonderful things: honest,
trustworthy, etc., he is also a very pleasant person, a reliable businessman,
and he is most knowledgeable about these appliances, has intelligent, informed
advice He quickly and efficiently repaired two old appliances -- my
dishwasher and washing machine -- both of which I thought I'd have to replace. In
addition, Alco is top-rated by Checkbook magazine for both quality of work and
price.
