3.: Update on Security at Tenleytown Metro

Councilmember Cheh's office has notified both the Washington
Metropolitan Transit Authority (WMATA) and the Metropolitan Police
Department about the ongoing problems at the Tenleytown Metro
Station. WMATA has assured us that the following steps are being
implemented:

1. 4-6 Metro Transit Police Department (MTPD) Officers are regularly
assigned to the station, sometimes more
2. WMATA staff has been asked to monitor elevators more carefully
3. MTPD and MPD are communicating daily to better address
disruptions as they arise
4. MTPD is in touch with staff at Wilson and Deal

We remain hopeful that these steps will improve the conditions at
the Tenleytown Metro Station.
