Hi, I am a member of a Macintosh Users Group AKA, "Washington Apple
Pi," which holds a weekly clinic in Rockville, available to any Mac
owner who might want help with Hardware or Software. It is a
donation-supported operation with perhaps the best Mac Gurus in the
world. I believe we are the oldest MUG in the world still in
operation. I go up every Tuesday evening and would be pleased to
have either of you join us to see how we operate. It's a little
difficult to find where we meet, so you could follow me in you own
car. Incidentally, some of our gurus have their own businesses and
make house calls; and at least one is "bilingual" in Macs and PC's.
I'm on the team as "Director of Crowd Control and Collector of
Donated Revenue" - not a guru.

We are on the web as "Washington Apple Pi." Please free to contact
me at any time - (After 11 years I'm still a slow learner.)

Have you tried the Apple Store? I recently transitioned to Mac after 20
years of working on PC¹s. The staff at the Genius Bar at the Apple Store
was very helpful in assisting me in transferring my PC files to the Mac
including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, music, photos, etc.
