Seeking recommendations for home repairs

We are in need of someone to replace the pillars on our front porch.
Does anyone have any recommendations for someone who can do this? Also,
has anyone used fiberglass pillars instead of wood?

We also need to have our garage roof replaced and some slate tiles
fixed on the roof of our house.

Thanks.

It's spring and there at it again! Have bumped them off one-at-a-time in the
past with tennis rackets and butterfly nets. Now hoping to fin the FINAL
SOLUTION...all suggestions will be gratefully welcomed.

New Satay Club Restaurant at 4654 Wisconsin Avenue

I agree with Kathy that the new Satay Club Restaurant on Wisconsin Avenue is
very good. The servers are also very pleasant without being intrusive.Their cook
is Malaysian, imported from a restaurant in New York. The menu has a lot of
Malaysian dishes, but it's really a pan-Asian restaurant, with Thai and Chinese
items as well. Their crispy beef has just the right amount of sweet/sour balance
and has a light sauce, unlike many Chinese restaurants where the dish swims in
thick, cloyingly sweet goo. The shrimp curry laksa was excellent, and the Mamak
Satay dish was fun to eat (kids will love it - although watch out for the
peanuts for the really young ones).

I've been there twice already and highly recommend it. Prices are very
reasonable too.

Fancy Mice

Homeward Trails recently took in 2 young fancy mice. They are both
female and are very friendly. Claire is white with little brown spots
and Missy is all white. Claire is more outgoing and Missy is a little
more shy and enjoys her nest. They respond to voices and enjoy being
interacted with.
These furry little guys are very easy to care for and will be adopted
together.
Contact racemom17@cox.net if you can give these girls a good home. The
adoption fee is $8/pair. They will not be adopted as singles as they
would be very unhappy to be a solitary animal.

Has anyone had a kitchen completely renovated recently and is
completely satisfied with the price and quality of the work?

Our son is looking for a kitchen designer/contractor who has a
track record of doing excellent work at reasonable prices.

Please pass on your recommendations.

I think there is a good chance that my carpenter bees are a main
pollinator for my blueberries. I kind of like the little guys anyway.
I let them alone and then fill in the holes they make in late Autumn
with plastic foam. Everybody wins.
