I was at Tenleytown Metro Monday also at
about 4:30 on the up escalator. I
became aware of a huge racket back in the station, and at the same time
I saw
15 or so students running down the escalator screaming at some students
below. The noise was truly deafening and frightening. I don't know what
was
going on; I walked up the stairs as quickly as I could to get out of
there.
This experience certainly doesn't hold a candle to that of the young
mother with
her child on the elevator, but the point is the station is terrifying
to
many of us at certain times of day. Surely something can be done to
address
this. I will be interested in Ms. Cheh's response ( I note the email
was
forwarded to her).
