Last Saturday (2/9/08) The Washington Post had an article on tankless
water heaters. They're popular in Europe because the price of gas is
much higher than here. It said not to buy one if saving money is the
objective. That's because the cost of the system is so much more than
a system with a tank. If interested in the subject, I recommend
reading the article.

The Janney Players present "Damn Yankees" February 22nd & 23rd
Are you ready for baseball? Nothing could get you in the mood for the
season more than seeing the Janney Elementary School Players as they
present "Damn Yankees," a devilish musical comedy set during the 1950s
in Washington, DC. This Broadway Musical has charmed audiences for 50
years, and this year, the Janney Players become the underdog Washington
Senators (with under-worldly powers), as they chase the New York
Yankees for the Pennant. Will they be able to stop the Yankees from
their domination of the League?
The shows are Friday, February 22nd at 7:00 p.m., and Saturday,
February 23rd, at 2:00 p.m. at Deal Middle School, 3815 Fort Drive NW
(just off Nebraska Avenue). Tickets are $5 for general seating. There
is free, but limited, parking at Deal. Refreshments will be sold
during intermission.
Bring the whole family and have yourself a ball as you watch the Janney
4th, 5th, and 6th graders put on another terrific show. You might even
want to show up in your Nationals gear to really get yourself in the
spirit!

I have been out of town and might have missed a few posts, but we are at the
highest point Garrison Street and have had DC out to the house several
times. They have measured the pressure--which is extremely low--and have said
that it is "normal" for this height. There are several "zones" of water
pressure in DC, and the pressure drops as the elevation rises--at least that was
their explanation!
