Tankless water heater -- a success story!

I installed an electric tankless HWH in a weekend cabin we built. Obviously it is not used as much as in a primary residence, but nonetheless it works well. Only trick during installation was to follow the directions to the letter. Initially I tried taking?a shortcut in the installation, but the unit didn't work right. Once I reread the instructions and followed them explicitly, I didn't have any more problems and it works just as advertised.

I would highly recommend Tom Lopresti Plumbing (301) 420-6589. The
company has done both large and small jobs for us and has always offered
reasonable prices and performed excellent work.

I talked to Ralf, who had the disaster story. He believes
it was all a matter of improper installation. I got the impression
that if he could do it again, he would but with a better installer -
one certified by the manufacturer. He said they have been using
these for years in Europe.

New Traffic Light at Warren and Wisconsin Ave Update

The traffic signal at Wisconsin Avenue, Warren Street and Engine
Company Number 20, NW is scheduled to be placed on flash tomorrow
(2/13/08) and on full color operation on 2/20/08. New signals are
customarily operated on flash for one week to acclimate motorists
and pedestrians to the upcoming change in traffic control. Thanks
