Recycle -what for?

They keep it separated on our block. Someone must have made a mistake that week. Of course, I know my trash men so maybe go out and speak to them and ask them.

Recycle -what for?

In our neighborhood, two different orange trucks come by. One has the recycling logo on it. The regular trash truck comes first, then the recycling one. The recycling crew in our neighborhood has (or had) an interesting technique: there's an "advance man" who dumps the contents of the smaller recycling bins into the larger regular bins, so they have few bins to dump into their recycling truck, I guess. I had an interesting chat with our advance man a while back. He complained bitterly about residents who put recycling stuff in their regular garbage cans, because they sometimes get blamed for it. Not sure how that works, but that's what I think he said. Maybe because that's what they're doing--temporarily! I'm also not sure they're still using that technique.

We are looking for a good dentist in our area (AU Park / Bethesda). We need him / her to be "listed" with Blue Cross Blue Shield so that we can get BCBS to pay its share from now on. Unfortunately this is quite urgent. Any information or advice would be most welcome. Thank you in advance.

Jim and Pascale Moeller

Janney Players present Damn Yankees February 22nd and 23rd

The Janney Players present "Damn Yankees" February 22nd & 23rd

Are you ready for baseball? Nothing could get you in the mood for
the season more than seeing the Janney Elementary School Players as
they present "Damn Yankees," a devilish musical comedy set during the
1950s in Washington, DC. This Broadway Musical has charmed audiences
for 50 years, and this year, the Janney Players become the underdog
Washington Senators (with under-worldly powers), as they chase the
New York Yankees for the Pennant. Will they be able to stop the
Yankees from their domination of the League?

The shows are Friday, February 22nd at 7:00 p.m., and Saturday,
February 23rd, at 2:00 p.m. at Deal Middle School, 3815 Fort Drive NW
(just off Nebraska Avenue). Tickets are $5 for general seating.
There is free, but limited, parking at Deal. Refreshments will be
sold during intermission.

Bring the whole family and have yourself a ball as you watch the
Janney 4th, 5th, and 6th graders put on another terrific show. You
might even want to show up in your Nationals gear to really get
yourself in the spirit!
