Just wanted to give everyone a heads-up about a phishing email I received allegedly
notifying me about a refund from the IRS. These emails have been circulating since
November. Do NOT click on the link. Just delete the email.

Free IKEA child's stove with accessories

From: Dawn Leijon <dleijon@yahoo.com>

Our children have outgrown the toy wooden stove, which is about 15"
square and 24" high. It's a bit worn, but could make a nice item in a
grandparent's house for visiting kids. We also have a number of small
plastic plates, utensils and kitchen gadgets, all of which fit inside
the stove for easy storage. Send me an e-mail if you're interested.

SmarTrip Cards for Sale at Eight Metro Stations through Thursday
The Metrobus fare for riders who pay with SmarTrip® will remain the
same while cash payers face a 10-cent increase beginning Jan. 6. To
help customers get their cards, Metro will sell the plastic,
rechargeable farecards at eight stations with high bus ridership in
early January.

SmarTrip® card sales will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. on:

* Jan. 7 at the Columbia Heights Metrorail station
* Jan. 8 at the Potomac Ave Metrorail station
* Jan. 8 at the Union Station Metrorail station
* Jan. 9 at the Silver Spring Metrorail station
* Jan. 9 at the Ballston-MU Metrorail station
* Jan. 10 at the Brookland-CUA Metrorail station

Each card costs $5 and only cash will be accepted at the sales
booths. Riders will be able to add value to their cards at the
Passes/Farecards vending machines in all Metrorail stations, and on
Metrobuses.

SmarTrip® cards also can be purchased on online, at Metro sales
offices, select Giant stores, commuter stores and vending machines
at Metrorail stations that have parking facilities.

Commuters can use their SmarTrip® cards to pay for travel on
Metrorail and Metrobus, on regional bus systems including ART, CUE,
DASH, Ride On, Fairfax Connector, Loudoun County Transit and the DC
Circulator, and to pay for parking at Metro parking facilities.

Need a Housekeeper?

Posted by: "KD McLynn" kdmclynn@starpower.net

Our housekeeper of many years, Berta Alfaro, has a day available. She is
delightfully pleasant, diligent and very dependable-she very, very rarely
ever misses a day and completes her routine while we are at work/school.
She is great with the whole family: kids, pets, our schedules and clutter.
In addition to cleaning, she has tended to our pets while we were on
vacation. She can be reached on 301/946-0514.
