FREE Home Energy Rating

From: mccraecandace <mccraecandace@yahoo.com>

The District Department Environment (DDOE) is offering FREE Home Energy
Ratings to DC single family homeowners interested in addressing energy
efficiency. A certified energy rater will identify a home's energy
deficiencies and provide homeowners with cost-effective
recommendations, that when installed will reduce energy loss in the
home. Homeowners will receive a computerized report detailing wasted
energy within 7 to 10 business days following the assessment. The
program expires on Monday, December 17, 2007, so call DDOE today to
take advantage of a FREE Home Energy Rating. For more information or
to schedule your FREE Home Energy Rating, click on the link below or
call Willie Vazquez at 202-671-3304.

To volunteer anywhere, at any time, go to _www.volunteermatch.org_
(http://www.volunteermatch.org) . You enter your zip code and you're
off and running.
It is a huge national database, very up-to-date. Most non-profits ( and
others) know to list with them.

Having A Dead Tree Removed

If you want a dead tree removed call 727-1000 and place a service
request, or you can request it on the web on the mayor's page. It's
best if you have an ID on the mayor's page and you register your
e-mail address for updates. The system isn't perfect, but it's better
than a few years ago.
