An additional word of caution, if I may. Fifty+ years ago, while
parked overnight on West 69th Street in NYC, my convertible's top was
slashed and a thoroughly worn out and grubby old trench coat of mine
from time spent overseas and from sleeping on military airplanes, was
stolen. It was a "rag" of no value which I'd simply left inside on
the back seat.

Unfortunately, the miscreant who stole my grubby trench coat was
unable to determine its condition by peering inside my convertible.
Under the delusion it probably still had the hanger in it from the
Burberry store.

Don't leave even trash inside your locked car. Don't expect the
passing miscreant to be a connoisseur of quality.
