Two Cat Adoption Events

Cat Adoption Events Both Saturday and Sunday 12-2 This weekend.

Sunday will feature 10 cats that have been left over time at the vets
office of one of the wonderful animal hopsitals that works with
Homeward Trails. Many are longhaired, and all have been well cared
for and of course fully vetted. We are thrilled at the oppportunity
to help them out and give something back for all their service to our
rescue.

Saturday we will feature our own special cats including some
wonderful kitten pairs.

There is also a dog adoption event at the Arlington PetMAC Sunday 12-2

Sat. 12-2
Sun. 12-2

Suggestions Needed -- animals in attic

One other thing about the critters above you -- NOW is apparently the season
to get rid of them so they can be taken away and set up housekeeping
somewhere else. I had them some years ago and in the spring, after silence
seemed to reign in the attic, I had all the holes through which they had
come in closed up. In the fall, they came right back, gnawing through my
expensively reconstructed eaves. I was told that they usually summer near
but outside the house and then return in the fall to where they had lived
last year -- so they were probably incensed that I had closed off their
front door.

We live on Albemarle, too. We drove an invasive raccoon family away by placing a radio as close to the site as possible, playing a raucous rock-and-roll station at full volume, then leaving the house for the day. Unable to sleep, the animals left, seemingly unharmed. It was an inexpensive solution, though some may call it inhumane auditory torture. Yet had we played Bach or Louis Armstrong, they might have stayed.

I'm sorry I have to ask, would it have been OK if a women had placed
all her under garmets out on the line?

What has surprised me about this particular article is the number of people that have responded privately.

In addition to a cloth soaked with ammonia, various hardware store
people have suggested a bright light and loud talk radio. There are also
pellets that smell and an noise emitter they can't stand--the latter not
easy to find.
They need to be evicted before one or more entrances are closed up.
