Subject: ADL Concert launches website

From: Friedman, David <DFriedman@adl.org>

I am pleased to announce that ADL In Concert Against Hate now has a
website: http://www.adlconcert.org/.

If you would like to attend the Concert, as a guest of ADL, please
use the attached form ands return to ADL by fax at (202) 296-2371.

The 13th Annual Concert will be held on Monday, October 29, 2007, at
the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

ADL In Concert Against Hate, featuring the National Symphony
Orchestra, honors "ordinary" people who have performed extraordinary
acts of strength and courage to confront hatred, extremism and
terrorism, interweaving music and words to tell their stories. Close
to two thousand Washington leaders attend the Concert, joining us to
recognize these heroes and stand together against intolerance and
injustice. This year's Concert will be narrated by members of the cast
of The Wire, HBO's acclaimed television series. The Chairs for the
2007 Concert are Ted and Annette Lerner.

The 2007 honorees are:

* Eugene Sayles, an African-American veteran of the U.S. Navy and
survivor of the explosion of the Port Chicago Naval Magazine in
1944?an event which was a catalyst for the desegregation of the U.S.
military. Mr. Sayles and his children and grandchildren will be
attending.

* Prof. Liviu Librescu, who gave his life to protect his students
during the attacks at Virginia Tech on April 16. Prof. Librescu's
wife, Marilena, will be joining us for the tribute to her husband.

* David Ritcheson, a 17 year old Mexican-American who was the
victim of a horrific hate crime attack in 2006 and became a leading
advocate on behalf of hate crime victims.

* Bujar Veselaj, an Albanian Muslim, he became the target of
Muslim extremists for publicly praising his father's efforts to save
Jews during the Holocaust. Bujar Veselaj and his family will be
joining us.
