Other Netflix and mail thefts

From: Anne M Novak <novakamj@msn.com>

"I too have had at least five Netflix DVDs over the last year that
went missing, on the way out, and on the way from Netflix.

In addition an envelope in which I had put a $20 bill and mailed was
returned to me. The bill was missing (though it was folded into
stationary and not visable without holding it up to light) and the
envelope was stamped with "Return to Sender" and something along the
lines of no known address, which was not true.

If anyone else has had the Netflix problem, please contact me. I would
like to hear from others and go to the Manager of the Friendship Hts. PO
with the info to get them to stop the Netflix thefts. "

The best way to avoid mail theft of any kind is to
have a mail slot in your door, rather than a mailbox
that can be accessed from outside. Mailing items in a
large USPS mail box on the corner is much safer than
leaving the mail outside your door for the postal
carrier to pick up.

I would be surprised if the Post Office can do much
to prevent theft from an unlocked box that is accessible
to anyone who walks by.
