The last block on the DC side of River Road before Western Avenue is a
nightmare traffic blockage. It is not uncommon to to sit through five
or six traffic light changes before getting through that intersection,
with traffic backed up to and beyond the "barrier".
Not surprising really. Three streams of traffic converge at that
point(46th St, Garrison St and River Rd) and are tunneled into one
lane, except for two hours of the day.
Why cant there be two lanes available at all times?
Who do I contact to look at this problem?
Does anyone know the timetable for removing the barrier, and what the
proposed solution to that traffic problem will be?

Brother cats need loving family Home!

Our owners have taken a temporary overseas posting, and the prospect
of living in an apartment on the 20th floor on the other side of the
world fills us with dread!!!

We urgently need to place our two wonderful cats in a kind family
home, either for three years, or for life. They are very healthy
Maine Coon mixes, six years old ( one is 17 pounds the other 22!)
very people oriented, neutered, clean and friendly with tracking
micro-chips and full immunizations. They have lived their lives since
kittenhood in harmony with us, our children and big dog—although they
would equally thrive on undivided attention!
If you can help, call Matt or Anka at

The Montgomery County Consumer Protection office in Rockville is a
true gem which can turn water into wine! Having them bark at DC's
consumers office surely didn't hurt one little bit! Fenty
improvement not withstanding.
