ANC3F RESOLUTION REGARDING APPLICATION FOR PUBLIC SPACE PERMIT FOR DRIVEWAY AT 2900 ALBEMARLE STREET

WHEREAS: The Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) on April 4, 2002, received an application for a public space permit at 2900 Albemarle Street NW; and

WHEREAS:The Department of Public Works sent to ANC 3F a letter of notice of this application which is dated May 28, 2002 and which requests comments within 30 calendar days from the date of receipt of the letter of notice; and

WHEREAS: ANC 3F received this letter of notice on June 15, 2002; and

WHEREAS: Insufficient time was available to provide notice to the community that the application would be an action item on the ANC agenda for the scheduled June 17, 2002, meeting, and, because of delay in receipt of this letter, ANC 3F was denied the required 30 days to comment on the application.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT: ANC 3F objects to favorable action by the D.C. government on the application for a driveway at 2900 Albemarle Street by the Public Space Committee on June 27; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: ANC 3F requests a 30 day extension of this matter so that it may provide public notice of the application and receive community input at a regularly scheduled meeting.

Adopted June 17, 2002, at a duly noticed public meeting with a quorum present by a vote of 5-0-2.
