ANC 3F RESOLUTION REGARDING
YELLOW CENTER LINE ON ALBEMARLE STREET

WHEREAS: ANC3F, on April 19, 1999, vote unanimously to support adhering to street marking maps (M-2052 and M-2076) for Albemarle Street between Connecticut and Nebraska Avenues which did not include a continuous yellow center line marking, and
WHEREAS: ANC3F received a letter dated August 21, 1999 from DPW stating the Department was preparing marking drawings to install "Edge Lines" along Albemarle Street as a traffic calming device, and
WHEREAS: in November 1999 ANC3F received a new street marking drawing (M-2286) which included edge lines, "Single Lane Ahead" signs and no continuous center line, and
WHEREAS: ANC3F on November 15, 1999 unanimously approved a resolution supporting the traffic calming measures (edge lines and not continuous center line) as proved for in drawing M-2286, and
WHEREAS: on November 19, 1999 a copy of the November 15, 1999 resolution was sent to DPW, and
WHEREAS: on or about March 1, 2000 Albemarle Street was marked with a continuous yellow center line.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
ANC 3F requests that DPW remove the continuous yellow center line on
Albemarle Street between Connecticut Avenue and Nebraska Avenue and install
the "Single Lane Ahead" signs.
